1 Year Natural Hair Journey

Happy New Year! It’s 2014 and I already feel the promise with this oncoming year and I am excited for it. Today marks my 1 year natural hair anniversary and I’m so happy about my growth and overall thickness.

I find myself suffering from Hand In Hair Syndrome and I need to stop, but I just can’t stop playing with it!!! I’ve never had my natural hair this healthy before (horrible hair practices) *hangs head in shame* but I’m determined to make up for all the neglect by treating my hair as a top priority.

I’ve been natural before in my life so my overall hair texture wasn’t too new to me except in the middle of my hair. That portion of my hair is some weird wavy/straight texture, but I’m learning to work with my hair instead of against it and trying to find ways to make the crazy textures blend #thestruggle

Along with all this greatness is I decided to make a Youtube channel to video document my journey so I can look back on what I’ve achieved and also learn from my many mistakes (in front of an audience)

I hope to make this year my great hair year.

Love,

Castor Oil Challenge Results

Hey everyone!

I hope you’re all doing fantastically. I have been and it’s because I joined a Castor Oil Challenge on hairlista.com which started September 28th and ended December 28th and I must say I’m loving the results I reaped. The creator and moderator of Hairlista recently added an Ultimate Level to the challenge which I readily joined since I have a major love for castor oil.

My results were amazing!!! And I wouldn’t hesitate to join another castor oil challenge if I had the chance. Along with lightly applying castor oil to my scalp every day I also added it to my deep conditioner with heat, oil rinsed and sealed with castor oil. This regimen kept my hair moisturized for daaaaaayyyyyssssss. Castor oil is definitely going to be a staple for me. I won’t be using castor oil on my scalp every day, but most likely every other day so I don’t weigh down my strands.

Along with the castor oil I also took Manetabolism Hair Vitamins every single day for 90 days.

This combination gave me about 3-4 inches during the challenge. My hair is thanking me for the love.

If you want more information on the benefits of castor oil you can go to Black Zulu’s  blog for in-depth descriptions.

Until next time, ladies and gents.

Love,

Happy New Year!!

Hey everyone!!

It’s officially 2014 which once again means resolutions and all that jazz. For me, I’ve never really had any resolutions that I’ve ever really wanted to aspire to so I’m going to start today. My weight has gotten out of pocket so I decided to get that under control. I’ve already started by eating healthier, but it’s time for me to hit the gym. I know I’ll love the results so I’m putting in all my effort for this.

I also have hair goals for this year. For one, my 1 year natural anniversary is in 4 days and I’ve so excited I just want it to be the 5th already!!! This past year my hair has grown tremendously especially since I learned to be consistent and that gave me real results. I want to get a trim in the middle of the year so my ends don’t end up like the Sahara Desert and I’m hoping to make it to at least shoulder length this coming year. Wish me luck!!

Finally, I’m planning on throwing some braces on my teeth to straighten my smile a bit. I’ve put this off for a while because of cost, but now I feel like I have everything under control and should go for it.

What resolutions do you lovely people have in store for this year? Long term or short term?

Just remember: New Year, No Regrets.

Love,

Eureka
